With the negotiations well underway, our client’s investment banker asked us to intervene and help the acquiring management team announce the transaction without triggering a decline in either company’s valuation. Typically, the acquiring company’s communications firm plays this role, so we were in an unusual situation. But the transaction was successful, and today we work with the acquirer.
